ABOUT Dayanand HIGH School :
Dayanand High School is a Co- educational English High School from V to X started in 1970. Shri Tej Bahadur Singh served as the first Headmaster of the school from 1970 to 1994 for 24 years.
Shri Premanand P. Mahambare succeeded him as Headmaster of the school in the year 1994 and served for 18 years. He retired in the year 2012 after receiving the prestigious award by the Government of Goa as “ Best Teacher Award “ in the Headmasters category in the year 2010. Mrs Anne J. James is presently the Headmistress of the school.

Dayanand High School is an English medium and co–educational School, recognized by the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa affiliated to the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education. It is located in a rural setting of a pristine hillock & picturesque village called Chorao. It proudly stands atop a hillock over looking a breath taking view of the village. The School is named after the man , renowned for his untiring mission of spreading education to the masses, that is late Shri Dayanand Bandodkar, the first Chief Minister of Goa.
Right from its inception the school has progressed in a commendable way through the dedication and hard work of the staff members, teaching, non-teaching and support staff, the enthusiastic cooperation of the students, parents and visionary direction of the management.
The medium of instruction is English & the students are prepared for S.S.C. examination of Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education.

In the past 50 years, we were able to fulfill our most immediate goal that is of achieving a good result at the SSC board.
On the co-curricular front also our students have done well. The co-curricular activities are designed in a way befitting to help students to have an all round development. Many of the activities are aligned in such a way that they draw inspiration from their own folk culture which in turn draws a good response and is also of good quality

In the field of sports we have been performing excellently well, where we strive not only to inculcate the competitive nature of the sports but also works towards building a spirit of sportsman ship.
Our focus now will be to strive for better quality in the academics, co-curricular & sports, .... where administration is such that each and every one at the institution understands his role and plays his part & where discipline is an intrinsic part of every individual in the school.

Dayanand High School/ Chodan Goa an Institution run by C.E.S. established in 1970 is completing 50 years of existence in educational and social activities.
From a very humble beginning in 1970, the society has grown in leaps and bounds and today we stand tall and proud of the progress that we have achieved in the past 50 years.
Our main thrust is to achieve the vision that is “provide holistic education that fasten integrity, leading to the development of responsible global citizens”.
